What is the Cocoa Packs Clothing Closet?
The Cocoa Packs Clothing Closet began during the 2018-2019 school year to help children from Derry Township School District who were actively enrolled in Cocoa Packs. Our first year was a HUGE SUCCESS thanks to all the generous donations of gently used and new clothing, new undergarments, and visual display equipment (clothing racks, separators, dividers). THANK YOU for your generous contributions!
The Clothing Closet is available to all enrolled and eligible Cocoa Packs recipients.
Where is the Cocoa Packs Clothing Closet?
The Cocoa Packs Clothing Closet opened in our next location at 1016 Old West Chocolate Avenue in December 2020. This new location spanning the entire first floor of our building allows the children actively enrolled in Cocoa Packs to have a private shopping experience similar to shopping in a regular retail store.
The Clothing Closet is open year round and hours are by appointment only. For more information, please email us!
How can I donate gently worn clothing to support the Clothing Closet?
Our donation bin is located in the parking lot of 1016 Old West Chocolate Avenue in Hershey.
We accept all sizes of like new clothing, outerwear, footwear, etc. Please be sure all clothing donated into the bin is free of stains, freshly laundered, and in 'hanger-ready' condition to assist us with ensuring items are able to reach the Clothing Closet racks as expediently as possible.
In addition to like new clothing, we also accept new in package socks, underwear, and undergarments for children ages birth-18.
Annual New Coat Drive
All children who are actively enrolled in Cocoa Packs and eligible to access the Clothing Closet also receive one brand NEW winter coat each year.
We accept donations of new coats at our 1016 Old West Chocolate Avenue location. With unprecedented levels of enrollment over the last several years, we appreciate your support of ensuring every child is able to receive a new coat annually.
