Why Volunteer at Cocoa Packs

Our volunteers are an amazing part of what makes our organization so successful. We are always looking for new community members to join our team. Groups, sport teams, organizations and businesses can also get involved!

How can you help?

You can volunteer with Cocoa Packs in a number of ways. Volunteers are needed to sort food donations, assemble the Cocoa Packs, restock our choice pantry, staff our evening distribution shifts and deliver Cocoa Packs to students. Volunteers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to donate their time and talents. Cocoa Packs also accepts food and financial donations.

Please see below for additional details.

Assisting at Cocoa Packs has changed my life and made me realize how important it is to let those we help share their struggles. I am more compassionate now.

How to find us

Volunteers meet in our dedicated Cocoa Packs space in the Hershey Middle School. It is accessible from door numbers 12 and 13 on the side of the Middle School that faces the Elementary School. Look for the large Cocoa Packs mural and follow the posted signs.

Once inside the building, Cocoa Packs occupies the first two rooms on the right hand side of the hallway. Please note: volunteers are no longer required to check in at the Middle School office for set up and packing shifts during school hours. District clearances are only required for the weekly high school/middle school/elementary school distributions.
